Open House Youth Shelter

Open House Youth Shelter is a 24-hour, 9-bed shelter that is committed to improving the safety and well being of abused and/or neglected at-risk youth (ages 6-19) who need a safe place to stay.

Services offered:

  • Youth must be enrolled in school or employed (or actively seeking employment)
  • Short-Term Emergency Shelter and Crisis Intervention Services for youth in crisis
  • Long-term residential services for youth in crisis
  • Respite care services
  • Safe Place
  • Clinical Counseling Services for individuals, family, and groups
  • Life skills building
  • Connections to other local resources
  • Voluntary Placement
  • A supportive homelike environment
  • Bedroom with two roommates
  • Structured daily activities as well as free time to play games and watch TV
  • Community outings
  • Health and wellness programing
  • No electronic/cell phones allowed on site

Open House Transitional Living Program is a voluntary program serving young adults ages 16-21 years old who are transitioning from adolescence into adulthood.

Services offered:

  • Support in attaining safe, stable housing
  • Monthly rental assistance
  • Individualized transitional living plans
  • Weekly case management
  • Employment and education assistance
  • Monthly Life Skills programming
  • Social engagement opportunities
  • General, dental, and mental health service coordination
  • Welfare services coordination as needed
  • Transportation assistance as needed
  • 24/7 support and crisis response

Maternity Housing Program

Open House Maternity Housing Program is a voluntary program that supports homeless pregnant and/or parenting young people who are between the ages 16-21 years old, as well as their dependent children.

  • Parenting skills
  • Child Development
  • Family budgeting/money management
  • Health and nutrition education
  • Employment and education assistance
